These Terms govern your use of this website and your private patient relationship with Mr Sanjay Rajpal (“the practice”). By using this website or engaging the practice for clinical care, you agree to these Terms.

1. About this website

The information on this website is provided for general guidance only. It is not a substitute for individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the advice of your GP or another suitably qualified healthcare professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.

2. Booking a consultation

Appointments may be booked via telephone, email, or by submitting an enquiry through this website. The practice will contact you to confirm an appointment and to advise on any pre-consultation requirements (referral letter, insurer pre-authorisation, prior imaging or test results).

3. Fees and payment

• An initial private consultation fee starts from £220.
• Follow-up consultations and procedure fees are quoted in advance.
• Self-pay patients are asked to settle the consultation fee on the day, by card.
• Insured patients should ensure pre-authorisation is in place before the consultation. If your insurer declines or partially settles a claim, you remain personally responsible for any shortfall.
• Procedure fees are set by the relevant hospital and may include separate charges for anaesthetic and theatre time.

4. Cancellation policy

We ask for a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a consultation. Late cancellations or non-attendances may incur a charge equal to the full consultation fee.

5. Scope of clinical advice

Advice given via email or telephone outside a formal consultation is necessarily limited and should not be relied upon as a definitive medical opinion. Urgent symptoms (severe loin pain, persistent visible blood in urine, fever with urinary symptoms, urinary retention) should be assessed in person — please contact the practice or, if out-of-hours, attend your nearest A&E department or call 111.

6. Continuity of care

Where appropriate and with your consent, the practice will write to your GP after each consultation to keep your medical record up to date and to coordinate ongoing care. You may opt out of this in writing.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, images, structure and design — is the property of the practice or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but may not reproduce or republish content without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on website content. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by clinical negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. External links

Where this website links to third-party websites, those sites are independent of the practice. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

10. Complaints

If you have a concern about your care, please raise it directly with the practice in the first instance. Concerns are taken seriously and addressed promptly. You also retain the right to escalate to the relevant hospital, the Independent Sector Complaints Adjudication Service (ISCAS) or the General Medical Council.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
