How kidney stones are treated

Treatment depends on the size, position and hardness of the stone, and on your kidney function. Mr Rajpal offers:

Urgent stone symptoms

Severe loin pain, fever with urinary symptoms, or visible blood in the urine should be assessed promptly. If you are acutely unwell, contact NHS 111 or attend A&E; for private assessment of a known or suspected stone, contact the practice directly.

Consultant-delivered private care

Mr Rajpal is a substantive NHS Consultant Urological Surgeon at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. Bradford private patients are seen and treated by him personally, with continuity from the first consultation through to treatment and follow-up.

Fees and insurance

Initial consultations start from £220. AXA Health, Aviva, WPA, Cigna and most major insurers are recognised, and self-pay patients are welcome.
